ABOUT THE PLAY
"Gorgeous, dazzling, fantastically funny." N.Y. Times
The hilarity never stops in this witty, romantic farce. You’ll laugh ‘til you hurt! Revived in 2002 by the Royal National Theatre in a production that sparkled on Broadway, “Private Lives” is one of the most flippant plays ever written.
Elyot Chase (Richard Ivey) and Amanda Prynne (Kristi Loera), once married and now honeymooning with new spouses at the same hotel, meet by chance, re-ignite the old spark and impulsively elope. After days of being reunited, they again find their fiery romance alternating between passions of love and anger. After a hilariously funny knock down drag out fight, Elyot and Amanda’s eyes are opened, and the outcome is delightful!
Also starring Jodi Rankin as Sibyl Chase, Eric Anson as Victor Prynne, and Megan Patno as Louise.
