Fourteen-year-old queer boy Chrysanthemum is the endearing know-it-all serving as president of the Drama Club Council and is based on no playwright in particular. His best friend is Vice President Phylicia, a coloratura soprano in every way. (If you’ve ever done musical theatre, you know what I'm talking about!!) They are best best friends, okay? They comment on each other’s posts out of desire, not obligation. But when FJHS announces the spring musical will be Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Oklahoma!, our protagonists rift. Shoot! Now one of them is the antagonist. But which one?!

Jake Montgomery (He/They) (Chrysanthemum) most recently performed as Robbie in BLOOMSDAY. Jake relocated from Dallas, Texas where he played roles such as Alan in EQUUS and Otto in SPRING AWAKENING. He earned his B.F.A. in Theatre at Southern Methodist University. jakewmontgomery.com

Gianbari Deebom (She/Them) (Alexy) is an actor, singer, and filmmaker in Tucson, AZ. She has her AFA in Theater from Pima Community College and is currently studying film. Most recently she was in Oso Fuerte at LTW. And is so glad to continue on stage. She has worked at many theaters around Tucson and is excited for more. Some of her favorite credits include BASKERVILLE: A SHERLOCK HOLMES MYSTERY (Mr. and Miss Stapleton), MAMMA MIA! (Rosie), MOBY DICK (Dagoo), VALERIE: A COSPLAY MONOLOGUE (Valerie), SWEENY TODD (Beggar Woman), SONORAN DESERT CHRISTMAS (Ghost of Christmas Present). She is adding directing to her resume with August Wilson's The Piano Lesson at Pima Community College in March and the Eight 10s play festival with Winding Road Theatre in May. She will be back on stage at the Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre in May with CITIZEN.

Eddie Diaz (He/Him/His) (Zak) has worked with many theatre companies and he is grateful to be back at Live Theatre Workshop! Some of Diaz’s most recent work include: Santos in THEIR DOGS CAME WITH THEM, Mitchell in CRY IT OUT, Merperson/Crux in THE MERMAID HOUR, Father Hartford in SANCTUARY, Cheche in ANNA IN THE TROPICS, Ariel in ROUGH MAGIC, and Carlos in THE MIGRATION PROJECT. Recently, Diaz received a MAC nomination for Best Actor in a Musical for his work in THE FANTASTICKS as Mortimer. In the Spring of 2019, Diaz directed THE PARROTS OF HEAVEN for Winding Road Theatre's short play festival. Diaz is currently working on a series of original short plays that dissect what intimacy means when we are disconnected. Diaz hopes to continue to grow, create and become where he is planted. His ancestor's love is still protecting and guiding him.

Trystan Garcia (Jack) is thrilled to be a part of his very first show at Live Theatre Workshop! Trystan is a recent graduate of the BA Theatre Arts program through the University of Arizona. He has been performing since he was 14 and as a result is all too familiar with the trials and tribulations of drama club. He is also very passionate about writing and directing, even producing a short film through U of A Magic Hour and earning the 2022 Artist's Award through the Scoundrel and Scamp Theatre. Credits include ALMOST, MAINE (Daniel), PETER PAN (titular role), INSPECTING CAROL (Bart) and SINKERS: AN ORIGINAL WORK OF PHYSICAL THEATRE (ensemble). Special thanks to Mom, Dad and Sage for their endless support, couldn't have done it without you!

Amaya Ravenell (Phylicia) is excited for her first performance at Live Theatre Workshop as Phylicia in this production of Fremont Junior High is NOT doing Oklahoma. She is currently a freshman at the University of Arizona pursuing a double degree in Theatre Studies and Elementary Education. She has been in theatre for years including roles like Cassie in A CHORUS LINE and Serena in LEGALLY BLONDE. She thanks her friends and family for their constant support which has helped her get here today.
