HOW OUR DRIVE-IN SHOWS WORK

  • Please arrive no earlier than 30 mins before showtime.
  • An LTW Staff member will check you in and direct you to your assigned spot. Cars will be parked at least 6 feet apart.
  • The stage is raised for easy viewing from all locations.
  • Tune into the show audio on your car's radio, or sit outside of your car and listen through our sound system.
  • Masks are required if you sit outside of your car.
  • Bathrooms are available, subject to safety precautions.
  • The performers will not be masked while on stage. Stringent safety precautions are in place to ensure performers stay far from one another and the audience.
  • You can preorder candy, sodas, and popcorn so we can sanitize and safely deliver them to your car. Concessions are not available for purchase onsite.

ABOUT THE PLAY

Has it been awhile since your last date night? Same. Want to have one without leaving the safety and comfort of your car? Live Theatre Workshop's Etcetera Series invites you to go on a date! In this one-woman drive-in show, writer and performer Ally Tanzillo talks about her old jobs, whether or not Top Gun is gay, and falling in love. This new comedy premiere is funny, vulnerable, and hopefully better than your last date.

“I’ve really missed seeing loved ones, but I haven’t missed going on dates, which are essentially performances where you are a heightened version of yourself, said Tanzillo. As we make our way out of this pandemic, I thought it would be fun for all of us to create a show about dating that is both earnest and hilarious. Good dates are great and bad dates make good stories!”

The Etcetera Series offers new and seasoned, local theatre artists the opportunity to create original performances that reflect the variety of Tucson’s culture and population, with the goal of unifying all of us through shared experiences.
