Audition Requirements

Please come prepared with:

🎤 32 bars of a song in the style of the show (must provide instrumental track)

🎭 One 1-minute monologue (must be memorized)

Roles to Be Cast

Trevor — A bright, imaginative 13-year-old navigating identity, friendship, and self-acceptance. Funny, heartfelt, and expressive.

Pinky — Trevor’s loyal best friend. Compassionate, grounded, and quietly strong.

Jack — A classmate navigating middle school social dynamics. Confident and image-conscious.

Jason — A student at Trevor’s school. Observant, complex, and influenced by peer pressure.

Cathy — A bold and confident classmate who often leads the social scene at school.

Ashley — Popular and polished, but under pressure to maintain her image and friendships.

Mary — A student at Trevor’s school. Kind, perceptive, and part of Trevor’s social world.

Walter — Trevor’s father. Loving but uncertain how to connect with and support his son.

Franny — Trevor’s mother. Warm, concerned, and trying to hold the family together.

Mr. Thompson — A teacher at Trevor’s school. Observant and caring, part of the adult world Trevor must navigate.

Diana Ross — Trevor’s glamorous imaginary guide and musical idol. Larger-than-life presence with star power, humor, and heart. Strong singer with commanding stage presence.

Ensemble (Students & Community) — Classmates, teachers, family members, and others who bring Trevor’s world to life. Strong singers, movers, and storytellers encouraged. Some ensemble members may be featured with lines or solo moments.
