About the Show
Emery is happy living in her treehouse, communing with her plants. Her sister Hazel is miserable, working at the only diner in Millerville to support herself and her sister. Luanne is yearning for something, anything to bring meaning into her life. When Emery’s YouTube videos of her plant experiments accidentally start a cult—a CULT!—all three women are plunged into a different type of chaos, and each one of them has to find a way to live—and to decide what to believe. Experience a heartwarming and quirky glimpse into everyday moments that reminds us of the importance of family, friendship, and the magic that surrounds us.

Christina Walker
Hazel
Christina Walker might be unfamiliar to you, but she is no stranger to theatre. After earning her BA in Theater at the University of Washington, she taught acting, voice & movement, and theatre history at Pima Community College for more than 12 years. She also acted, directed, and did tech work for theaters in Tucson and Seattle for 17 years; favorite roles include Helena in MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM in two separate productions for Shakespeare Under the Stars and PCC (for which she won Best Actress at the Arizona College Theater Festival as a guest artist), Boo in BLUE WINDOW at MetaTheater, and for 7 years was Satan in Borderlands Theater’s beloved A TUCSON PASTORELA (which she went on to direct for 3 years). Christina was also the Director for SILENT SKY at Live Theatre Workshop and directed Tucson’s first production of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES, which played to a rowdy, sold-out house at the Rialto Theater. She has worked with Borderlands Theater, aka Theater, MetaTheater, Quintessential Productions, and Damesrocket Theater among others; most of which no longer exist, which is a shame. Christina took a break to raise her amazing daughter and is now diving back into the world of theater. Thank you for your support of the arts in Tucson!
