Nancy Lewis was last seen at LTW as Aunt Esther in THE HAT BOX and is thrilled to be back at LTW sharing the stage with Michael in this little gem of a play. Many thanks to Doug for trusting me to bring Alexandra to life under his guidance and wise direction.  Some favorite credits include: BLITHE SPIRIT (Madame Arcati), THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST ( Lady Bracknell), LOST IN YONKERS ( Grandma Kunitz, COLLECTED STORIES (Ruth Steiner), GOING TO SEE THE ELEPHANT ( Maw Wheeler).  AWARDS: Kevin Kline Award - GOING TO SEE THE ELEPHANT, St. Louis Theatre Circle Award- BLITHE SPIRIT.

Michael Martinez

Chris

Michael Martinez, he/him, is the executive artistic director of Live Theatre Workshop. Previously he has performed on the LTW Mainstage and Children's Theater in delightful shows such as SOUVENIR, THE FROG PRINCE, THE WIZARD OF OZ, and YOU’RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN and SNOOPY! Michael often writes, composes, and directs professional children's theater shows including, THE TORTOISE AND THE HARE, OSO FUERTE, DIA DE LOS MUERTOS: THE MUSICAL, and FRIDITA Y EL PINCEL MAGICO. Michael is passionate about the city of Tucson and is committed to helping with services that arts and educational organizations provide to make Tucson a great place to live. Michael has a Bachelor degree in music from the University of Arizona and a Masters degree in Public Administration. He loves teaching musical theatre classes at Live Theatre Workshop and working collaboratively with all the outstanding artists in this amazing city.

Doug Finlayson

Director

Doug recently retired from Webster University in St. Louis where he taught directing for 27 years. His work in St. Louis includes TIME STANDS STILL, LOST IN YONKERS, THE SUNSHINE BOYS, and THE WHIPPING MAN at New Jewish Theatre, EQUUS and TRUE WEST at HotCity, THE BREMEN TOWN MUSICIANS at Imaginary Theatre Company, ELEEMOSYNARY at Mustard Seed Theatre, and COMPANY at Insight Theatre Company. He has worked regularly at Illinois Shakespeare Festival directing THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR, PERICLES, HAMLET, ROMEO AND JULIET and THE COMEDY OF ERRORS. Other Midwest productions include VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE, JEEVES INTERVENES, ACT A LADY, and RESIDENT ALIEN for Nebraska Repertory Theatre, THE HOUSE OF BLUE LEAVES at New American Theatre in Rockford IL, THE IMMIGRANT at Madison Repertory Theatre in Madison WI, and LADY LOU: THE KLONDIKE MUSICAL in Aspen CO. Doug started his career in Chicago. He served as Associate Artistic Director at Wisdom Bridge Theatre, where he directed PAINTING CHURCHES, THE IMMIGRANT, 'NIGHT MOTHER, HUNTING COCKROACHES and CIRCE & BRAVO.

Alex Totillo

Stage Manager

Alex Totillo, they/them, was born in Tucson and is a University of Arizona graduate. They are a lifelong theater nerd whose first show as a stage manager was aptly titled THE NERD. Some of their most recent work includes stage management for A YEAR WITH FROG AND TOAD and THE ONE GOOD THING at Live Theater Workshop and for ANITA at Borderlands Theater, as well as direction for JULIUS CAESAR at Studio Connections and for GOING IT ALONE at Invisible Theater. Keep your eyes out for Alex in the ttrpg actual play project EPICS OF EPOCHS.

Makayla Eneboe

Assistant Stage Manager

Makayla is glad to be back for the third time with L.T.W. She has graduated from Pima & A.S.U. in Stage Management. Fun fact: Makayla skipped her university graduation ceremony to attend intensive training with Cirque du Soleil. She recently wrapped a short film called I'M HERE FOR U, coming soon. After this show, she will be working as a technician on Celebrity Cruise Lines. A note for technicians - during the interview with Royal Caribbean, they did mention how my degree earned me a spot on a higher pay scale. If she did not go to get a degree, she would have been offered a less-paying gig (even though it was the same job, just a different employer). Please keep this in mind for the future. Makayla had to push through many people saying, "why bother getting a degree' and is glad that it does make a difference. Annette Hillman

Prop Designer

Annette last appeared at Live Theatre Workshop in "Savannah Sipping Society" and "The Other Place". LTW productions she has directed are " Forever, Patsy Cline,"Below the Belt" and ""Loot". She will next direct "The Incident at Our Lady of Perpetual Help" at the Invisible Theatre ,coming up in March! Thank you to  Doug, who last directed me during the Iron Age at Purdue and continues to make me laugh. 

Michael James Zimmerman

Sound Designer

Michael is a recording artist, music director, audio engineer, and private music instructor with over 20 years of teaching experience and more than 35 years of acting and performance experience. He spent 25 years as a touring musician with Honeybeegroove and Kristen Chandler. After graduating from the University of Oregon in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Music Technology, Michael moved to Tucson, AZ. He is the music director for Center for Spiritual Living Tucson, and teaches guitar, piano, voice, drums, percussion, and bass guitar as a master teacher at Music & Arts.

Richard Gremel

Lighting Designer

Richard has been a part of the LTW family for over 20 years . Richard is a graduate of the University of Arizona where he received a B.F.A. in Theatre Education. He is the acting and technical theatre teacher at Empire High School where he has directed almost 90 plays and musicals for the past 18 years.  Under his direction, Empire Theatre has earned numerous awards including 4 state championships in One-Act Performance.  Some of his past LTW directing credits include PUFFS, TALL TALES: LEGENDS OF AMERICA, TILLY THE TRICKSTER, and RANKED: THE MUSICAL.  He is the recipient of the Arizona Thespians Teacher of the year (2017-2018 & 2023-2024) and the OnMedia Tucson Arts Hero (2018-2019).  Richard has also received the award for "Best Director" from Arts Express' Monte Awards for his productions of THE SPONGEBOB MUSICAL (2023) and THE LIGHTNING THIEF (2025).  Aside from teaching, and directing, Richard writes plays for the LTW stage. He currently has 11 published plays which have been seen all over the United States, Canada, India, Hong Kong, England, Germany, Italy, and Australia. www.richardgremelplaywright.com

Shana Stilley

Costume Designer

Shana is incredibly happy to be back at Live Theatre Workshop as part of this production. Shana was a 2009 Arizona Daily Star MAC nominee, a 2011 Tucson Weekly Best of Tucson recipient, as well as the 2021 The Taming of the Review, Best Director, and Best Show recipient for the critically acclaimed production of HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH. Other favorite productions include: SWEENEY TODD, LES MISERABLES, THE PRODUCERS, MAMMA MIA, and AUGUST OSAGE COUNTY. Shana currently serves on the board of directors of the Pima County Joint Technical Education Advisory Committee. -For my husband; I’m your number one fan

Stephen Frankenfield

Set Construction

Stephen, He/Him, is LTW's Associate Artistic Director. He is a graduate of (AAMDA) American Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in New York City. LTW has been his second home for over 25 years, both for acting and directing. Some of his notable acting credits include: STONES IN HIS POCKET, THE GAME'S AFOOT OR, HOLMES FOR THE HOLIDAY, I HATE HAMLET, and TUNA CHRISTMAS. Some of his directing credits include: MOON OVER BUFFALO and SOUVENIR. He writes and directs for LTW's Children's Theatre, as well as the Education Department. He has had 7 of his plays published and produced around the world, in schools and other youth organizations. He'd like to give a big thank you to his two boys who continue to inspire him everyday, on and off stage.
